Profile

Capt Sachini Abeysekara is a Commissioned Officer in the Sri Lanka Army. She has completed her education at Kuda Kusum Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Bandarawela. She joined to General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University on 18^th July 2018 as a Lady Officer Cadet in KDU Intake 36. After completion of the academic phase, she proceeded to the Sri Lanka Military Academy, Diyatalawa, for advanced military training. Following the successful completion of the training, she was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 19^th December 2021 and posted to the Sri Lanka Army Womens’ Corps. 

Throughout her military service, she has held the following appointments:

• Troop Commander – KDU Southern Campus
