    Major Rumesh Perera is a Commissioned Officer in the Sri Lanka Army. He has completed his initial studies at Carey College, Colombo 8.  He joined to Sri Lanka Military Academy on 09th July 2010 as an Officer Cadet to Intake 75. After completion of the basic military training at SLMA, He was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 02nd July 2012 and posted to the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
