    Major Malitha Jayakody is a commissioned officer in the Sri Lanka Army. He has completed his initial studies at Dharmaraja College, Kandy.  He joined to Sri Lanka Military Academy on 14th July 2008 as an Officer Cadet to Intake 69. After completion of the basic military training at SLMA, He was commissioned as the the rank of Second Lieutenant on 24th June 2010 and posted to the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps.

    During his military journey, he has hold following important appointments:
