    Major Thusitha Herath is a Commission officer of Sri Lanka Army. He has completed his initial studies at Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala. He joined to Sri Lanka military academy on 06th July 2011 as an officer cadet in Intake 77. After completion of the basic military training at SLMA. He was commissioned as the rank of Second Lieutenant on 21st December 2013 and posted to Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

    During his military Journey. He has hold following important appointments.

     Working Experience 

     Armed Forces (Operations) 

    •  Platoon Commander 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment 
    • Intelligent Officer 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment 
    • Officer in Command 11 Vijayabahu Infantry regiment
