Major Chalanima Udugama SLAWC is a Commissioned Officer in the Sri Lanka Army. She completed her education at Hemamali Girls College, Kandy and joined the intake Lady 13 of Sri Lanka Military Academy Diyathalawa 13th January 2014., for advanced military training. Following the successful completion of the training, she was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 30th November 2014 and posted to the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps

Throughout her military service, she has held the following appointments:

• Adjutant – 1^st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corp 
• General Staff Officer III – Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps
•  Staff Officer II (Log) – Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps

Command Appointments

• Platoon Commander – 1^st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps 

Instructor Appointments

• Platoon Commander – Sri Lanka Army Women’s Training Centre at Sadunpura
