Lieutenant SS Abeysekara is a Regular Officer in Srilanka Army womens’ Corp. She is a proud product of Kuda Kusum Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Bandarawela. She joined the Sri Lanka Army as an Officer Cadet on 18 July 2018 to the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University for Intake 36. After the completion of Bachelor of Social Sciences and Humanities degree in General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University – Ratmalana and advanced military training from Sri Lanka Military Academy Diyatalawa. She was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 19 December 2021.
